Our market here in Denver Colorado is still going very strong and we see the activity continuing. This April we sold 5,044 homes. This was our highest number of sold homes for any April in over a Decade. Our number of new listings hitting the market were up 8% over last April and the number of homes that we got Under Contract was up 11% over this time last year. We do see a slow down as we have been predicting, with average days on market going up from 33 days on the market to 41 days this year. Also, our inventory of homes is also increasing from 5 weeks of inventory to 7 weeks. Our market is still very strong but the slow down is definitely showing its signs of impact.
I hear story after story of people being sold bad information from agents in the market that either are new to the business or just don’t know the market very well. Some of these buyers/sellers are losing anywhere from $10,000 to one I heard lost $60,000.
